Most of the time, Adam and I LOVE his job. He works exactly 40 hours- never more, but sometimes less. He is off every evening, holiday and weekend, it's so nice after he's worked in retail so long to be able to make plans to do things on the weekends. He was supposed to be off on Monday and Tuesday. Well, not anymore. He has to work today and tomorrow. There is a new Wal-Mart president and they are shakin' things up around there. I'm hopin' for him to be off on Thursday and Friday but I'm not holding my breath. We did have a good weekend though. Spent Friday afternoon with my Grandma and then my Dad and my precious brother came over to visit. Saturday was family shopping day! Nanny, Kathy, and Mom came up and we shopped the day away, only pausing to eat lunch. Yesterday Adam and I had a fabulous lunch at Joe's (yum!!) and then went to the $4 movie in Springdale to watch Grown-Ups. I think Adam liked it more than I did, but there were some funny moments. I still can't believe that you can go watch a movie for 4 buck, what a bargain!
The weather man is predicting a VERY hot week so I'm looking forward to water aerobics, swimming in Meredith's pool, happy hour cranberry slushies from Sonic, online shopping, and some projects around the house that can all be done in the comfort of air conditioning. I'm pretty sure that Lawson does not like to be hot. He screams for me to go inside to where it is cool by making my fingers and toes look like vieanna sausages, turning my ankles into cankels, and making me sweat more than I ever thought a human could. If Lawson loves the AC, then the AC he should have!! Here's to a cool week!
