I've been a very bad blogger...
So, I had great intentions of blogging regularly, I thought it would serve as an "electronic scrapbook." Then motherhood set in. It's not been as easy as I thought it would be- but make no mistake, I love every second, and everyday I take just a minute to thank God for the blessing that he has given Adam and I. Lawson is the ligbt of our lives- and we're having a ball! I'm going to catch up on all the things that have happened in the coming posts (this is to calm the intense pressure from Amanda and several others...) Enjoy!

Ms. Patty
L goes to a babysitter everyday. Ms. Patty and her daughter Ms. Kristina watch a total of 8-9 kids including Lawson everyday. We are so happy that L is in a place that he loves and most of all, he is in a Christian home with babysitters who LOVE Lawson! Ms. Patty had a little "Birthday lunch" for Lawson. Here are a few pictures of Lawson on his birthday and everyone having a good time and celebrating L on his big day!
Lawson's Turns One
Can't believe that Lawson has already gotten so big. I am already reminiscent of his infant days, but I am so in love with this little boy who can say "Momma, Dada, ball, oh no!, JoJo (for dog), thank you, and welcome" just to name a few. On the day of L's first birthday, he had to go to Ms. Patty's for half a day. He had a party there and then his Daddy picked him up and he took a nap to get ready for his family birthday party that evening. The theme of his party was "Mickey Mouse." You all know that I'm not much for licenced products or party themes, but that's what he was most into. He loved (and still loves) Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We invited his Grandpa and Grandma Shores, Poppie and Mimi, Aunt Lyndsey and Camden, PawPaw and Gigi, UJ and AA, and Uncle Jordan and Aunt Nikki. We had "hot diggity dogs" and bbq. After we ate, we opened presents. When I say "we" I am speaking of Adam and I. You all should know that I really do not like opening presents. I don't really like all the attention on me, it makes me nervous. Also, a fluffy girl sitting in the floor is no fun thing to even look at. Needless to say, this was not my favorite part of the night. Lawson loved it though, and we have such a great family who really spoiled L with wonderful gifts! After presents, it was time for cake! L had a small Mickey Mouse cake. The icing on it was blue and black and it was all over him. He would take a bite and then say "mmmmmmm." He loves chocolate cake as much as his Daddy! It was a wonderful night, and I really appreciate everyone coming to help us celebrate L's first year! It was wonderful, I'm not really sure how it could get any better than this...

Sleepover with Cousin Camden
Lyndsey called one day while I was at school and was very sick, so that meant sleepover :-) Adam picked up Camden on his way home from work, and we started our fun night. The boys had dinner and then we headed to the park. The boys had a ball. L was still not too solid on his feet, so he got to be in the stroller, and Camden got to run all over the place with Uncle Adam. Camden loves Adam, so he had a ball!! The boys favorite part had to be swinging!

Snow, Snow, Snow
We've had a cold winter, but this tops the charts! We had 21-22 inches of snow fall in our backyard. Adam, Lawson, and I have spent time snuggled up together playing and staying warm. Grandpa Shores, Uncle Jordan, and Aunt Nikki did come visit though. They wanted to get out and see the snow and come have warm peanut butter cookies :-)

Lawson's First Christmas
I know Lawson is still a baby and he has no idea what Christmas is all about, but it has been a ball for Adam and I. We've had so much fun decorating, buying, having pictures made, and baking. Christmas was a whirlwind celebration this year. We spent Christmas eve in Alma at my Grandma Joy's house, then in Bella Vista at Adam's aunt and uncle's house, then we spent Christmas day at my Mother's house. On the 26th, we had Shores Christmas at our house. It was wonderful to be with our family and show Lawson off. I'm really not sure what we'll do with all his gifts. I'm pretty sure Adam needs to buy us a bigger house! I'm going to start working on that, we'll see how it goes!
