NICU- Day 4

Today was an awesome day!  First of all, the jaundice levels came back and Lawson was able to come out from under his light therapy.  Also, Lawson's umbilical catheter was taken out today and replaced with an IV in his hand.  He was also taken off his oxygen today.  We are doing this "oxygen trial" to find out how he does.  So far, so good though.  He's been without his oxygen for about 7 hours now and we could not be any happier.  He is now eating a little more than an ounce per feeding and he seems to be tolerating it well.  We are praying that he will continue to progress with his feedings so that his feeding tube can come out in a few days.  He has made a lot of progress today- we are trusting in God that he will stay stable through the night and the day tomorrow.  We are hoping that his labs come back good tonight so that he can continue to stay off his lights and his oxygen.  Here are a few pictures of him today- he's getting more precious by the minute!
Sweet Boys!

No catheter  or oxygen- look at that sweet face!

Every few hours we have a new favorite picture.  This is it for right now- beautiful baby boy!

Gummy Bear Lawson at 11 weeks!

This was the first time that we got to see little Lawson moving and floating around!  I can't believe that this was back in April and now he's just a few weeks from making his appearance!

"Sew" Blessed

My Mom has started her own business.  She has been taking lots of orders in the river valley.  I'm so glad that she's decided to do this finally, she is very talented and Lawson is definitely reaping the benefits!  I thought I would post a few pictures of the items that she has made for Lawson.  Of course, she helped make some of L's bedding but here are a few more things!
Her email address is msfuneraldirector@yahoo.com.  Contact her for pricing, or if you would like anything!

Bed Rest at 33 weeks (and my super organized closet!)...

My feet, ankles, legs, and hands have been swelling for a while now.  I had a doctor's appointment this Friday to talk about it.  While I was in the waiting room, I look up and see my Mom looking for a seat.  She drove up because she was worried about my appointment.  Turns out it was a great thing she was there!  We saw doctor H, and we listened to sweet baby Lawson.  We did a few more tests and she told me that I was on bed rest for the weekend.  She then sent us downstairs to the ER for some more testing.  After a few hours of testing I was told that my blood pressure is a little higher than they wanted, my feet/ankles/legs/hands are severely swollen (which we already knew), and I have a bladder infection.  The ER doctor told me no more work.  So now, at 33 and 1/2 weeks, I am on bed rest.  I know it's the best thing Lawson and myself, but I really wasn't expecting this.  I'm now going to the doctor twice a week and working feverishly trying to finish up an entire semester of lesson plans.  Dr. H is expecting baby Lawson to show up between 37 and 38 weeks.  We are continuing to pray for a healthy baby and a safe delivery.

Now onto something a little more upbeat (or at least for me) ORGANIZATION!
Here are some pictures of my finished closet project.  I have green baskets full of burp clothes, blankets, loveys, etc.  (all with labels of course) Then we have closet organizers that I ordered from Etsy- so cute!  Lastly, we hung hooks for L's diaper bags and then a shoe rack with labels that holds all the small things that we will need.  Everything is done and I'm really pleased that everything has it's own spot.  I hate clutter laying around so I hope this will alleviate some of that.
....Take a peek!

It looks cluttered, but I promise, we make good use of our small space!
