Bed Rest at 33 weeks (and my super organized closet!)...

My feet, ankles, legs, and hands have been swelling for a while now.  I had a doctor's appointment this Friday to talk about it.  While I was in the waiting room, I look up and see my Mom looking for a seat.  She drove up because she was worried about my appointment.  Turns out it was a great thing she was there!  We saw doctor H, and we listened to sweet baby Lawson.  We did a few more tests and she told me that I was on bed rest for the weekend.  She then sent us downstairs to the ER for some more testing.  After a few hours of testing I was told that my blood pressure is a little higher than they wanted, my feet/ankles/legs/hands are severely swollen (which we already knew), and I have a bladder infection.  The ER doctor told me no more work.  So now, at 33 and 1/2 weeks, I am on bed rest.  I know it's the best thing Lawson and myself, but I really wasn't expecting this.  I'm now going to the doctor twice a week and working feverishly trying to finish up an entire semester of lesson plans.  Dr. H is expecting baby Lawson to show up between 37 and 38 weeks.  We are continuing to pray for a healthy baby and a safe delivery.

Now onto something a little more upbeat (or at least for me) ORGANIZATION!
Here are some pictures of my finished closet project.  I have green baskets full of burp clothes, blankets, loveys, etc.  (all with labels of course) Then we have closet organizers that I ordered from Etsy- so cute!  Lastly, we hung hooks for L's diaper bags and then a shoe rack with labels that holds all the small things that we will need.  Everything is done and I'm really pleased that everything has it's own spot.  I hate clutter laying around so I hope this will alleviate some of that.
....Take a peek!

It looks cluttered, but I promise, we make good use of our small space!

Beautiful Baby Shower!

Saturday was the Randall shower for baby Lawson and it was absolutely gorgeous.  We were so lucky to have 4 amazing, crafty, and creative girls throw us a shower.  Our hostesses were Adam's cousins- Ashley, Patti, and Jessica and of course our sister-in-law Lyndsey.  The brunch shower was brown and cream and everything from the decor to the food was amazing!  Honestly- we were so grateful from the bottom of our hearts for all the hard work the girls put in and for all the gifts people brought Lawson.  We have such great family and friends!

Nursery...CHECK!

Well I wanted to finish Lawson's nursery before I had to go back to school, but I was a few weeks behind.  This morning I am so happy to say it's finished for the most part.  There are still a few little things here and there that I want to tackle, but for the most part- we're just missing a sweet baby boy!  Here are the pics :)

1st day of School 2010!

I've been really busy lately getting ready for the first day of school.  You all know that I would hate for my classroom to look the same every year- so I always have a lot to accomplish in the beginning of August.  This year it was a little harder to get around with my 31 weeks preggo belly- but thanks to my fabulous in-laws and my amazing husband for helping me throw it all together.  Here are some pictures of my classroom- I've finished up a few things since I took these- but here it is none the less.

I'm so grateful to have the best job in the world and work with some of my best friends!  I'm praying for a great 2010-2011 school year!  Go Ramay Indians!!

Lawson's Baby Shower

Saturday was Lawson's first big party that was hosted by his wonderful Aunt Beck and Aunt Audrey!  They were the most fabulous hostesses and we are so grateful!  The shower theme was sock monkey's and everything was put together so well.  Lawson had the most wonderful (and delicious) cake, with super cute sock monkey cookies, and yummy fruit and quiche.  There was a big turn out and we appreciate our friends and family showing up to help us celebrate our sweet boy. Thanks to all of you for such a wonderful day and for your thoughtful gifts!  Now, on to the pictures ( I promise I won't post them all)
